Montrose Edmonton Real Estate
The residential neighbourhood of Montrose is located in north east Edmonton. In the south west corner of Montrose is Rexall Place, home of the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Oil Kings. Located next to Rexall Place is the Coliseium LRT station. According to the 2001 federal census, 20.4% of Montrose homes were built before 1946, and 45.6% were built between 1946 and 1960. The majority of the other 66% of Montrose homes were built by 1980. According to the 2005 municipal census, single-family homes are the most common type of home in Montrose, and account for 78% of all homes in the neighbourhood. Another 16% of Montrose homes are low-rise apartments, and duplexes make up the last 6%. A total of 61% of Montrose homes are owner-occupied.
