Oliver Edmonton Real Estate
The neighbourhood of Oliver is located immediately west of dowtown, and it overlooks the North Saskatchewan River valley. It is one of the oldest neighbourhoods in Edmonton. According to the 2001 federal census, only 14.5% of Oliver homes were built prior to 1960, with 30.4% built between 1961 and 1970, 31.9% built between 1971-1980, and 13.7% built between 1980-1985. Rented apartments and apartment-style condominiums in high-rise buildings are the most common types of homes in Oliver, according to the 2005 municipal census, and total 66% of all Oliver homes. The majority of the remaining 34% are made up of rented apartments and apartment-style condominiums in low-rise buildings, with a small number of single-family homes, duplexes, and row houses.
